Last time in information design, we watched the movie called Helvetica. It wasn’t a great movie to watched. However, it gave us a a little bit history of Helvetica and it tells us what are some companies have common. companies like Totoya, Nissan and etc. The movie showed how unique Helvetica was, how great great it was.

Oh, by the way, there are two types of fonts one is sans-serif and other one is serif. sans-serif is a clean modern type of font that has letters without serifs and serif is a type of font with short, light lines or curves.

Remember one of the old man said “you can’t do better design in computer. However, it can speed your work.”

I have a lot of stuff to say, but I have to go. BYE BYE!

Gapminder is very interesting data to look at. It shows great view how countries improve within a year and it gives life expectancy data of all the countries. It has also a data that shows the income of the country and economic growth, internet users and etc…

In this week, we only had two classes because Wednesday was Taiwan Independence Day. What we did was talk about our progress on newsletter some of the student didn’t do well.

We had a test, I didn’t know it but since I already prepared myself last week so it went fine. I was unaware about most assignment and activities posted on pasnet on a daily basis but now that I realize now important it is so I’m going to check the pasnet everyday.

This week our group did a presentation about the Ancient Egypt. There were total of four groups the first group presented the Mesopotamia, second the Babylon and third Hebrew. All of my members participated in presenting Ancient Egypt although no one wanted to become a leader so we wasn’t able to do our best as a team.

This week I realized how the journal was helpful because sometimes if you have problems or anything that you don’t want to share with others you can just write it down and it will help us to feel comfortable.

At last our draft paper due which was I looking forward into it. I was happy to share my experiences to others .I worked hard in that reflective essay so I wish I would have a decent grade for it.

This week we covered capitalization, which will help us improve our writing. Another topic was about the usage of base words. I found out base word is really helpful particularly when you encounter a word you don’t know.
